Sorry I've been a little MIA, the husband and I have been on a mission with getting things done around our house. But we did take a little time out to go see the Hunger Games yesterday! 

I've still got lots to do around the house, but it's looking so much cuter! But I am definitely tired of dusting! haha

Around the Miller Mansion

Today I've been doing some spring cleaning and redecorating. I've really enjoyed getting some stuff done today, but I still have lots to do before we have guests! 

So enjoy a peek around The Miller Mansion (ps it's not really a mansion, but a lil house built in the '80s, located in suburban hell)

Guest bathroom has been Hello Kitty-i-fied! It's a dream come true!

I still have some sparkles to add and a new toilet seat!

The Queen is helping my strawberry plant grow...I seriously need to repot her...

I dusted the old organ today....

I watered Earl and she looks lovely...(all my plants seem to be girls this year...)

This was stacked high and crazy with different teas and what not. My husband was impressed when he came home from work! I recycled my herb garden box from last year. I may or may not paint it soon...but yay organized!

Smells Like Spring

I love perfumes, lotions and just smelling pretty. I change what I'm wearing constantly, and I always want to go to Sephora and buy something fancy when I'm having a super bad day that even a cupcake can't cure. Sometimes I just like to keep it simple. In my arsenal right now:

I'm off today and I feel like doing lots of things. But all of those things would require me to get dressed, get out of this recliner, and get off tumblr and pinterest. 

They should make a tea that motivates you when you drink it. I would drink so much, and get so much done! Or just hire a personal assistant and maid. 

I need to pot my strawberry plant (no name yet) and water my cactus (it's named Earl, but is a female). 

Who want to go thrifting with me? Let's just go in our pj's.....

That Lame Girl

Yes I am that lame girl that uses her phone for all pictures....but I'm thinking of investing in a real camera and taking this rad photog class by Kara. So maybe, pretty soon I'll get over being that lame girl...maybe....

I got this covergirl lip stain in berry...something and it's kinda rad and lasts half of the day. It's kinda like coloring with a marker on your lips...which is fun!

Doesn't this cupcake look evil? It's white chocolate and raspberry. It looks like it could kill you, or is a zombie cupcake or something....

Fill In The Blank Friday

1.  My favorite color is     tiffany's blue   .

2.   My home decor color palette includes   always changing. We are doing lots of painting right now. In the kitchen I have that retro blue color and red. In the living room it's chartreuse green and espresso...still working on it    .

3.  Other people always tell me I look good in the color     blue...probably b/c I'm blonde and have blue eyes. But I got lots of compliments on my blue hair too  .

4. The color I detest is    is maybe orange? It just doesn't look cute on me.

5. If you were to look in my closet most of the colors you'd see would be   everything...i have lots of most colors, but I did notice a lack of green when I was trying to dress for St. Patty's day. .

6. A color that I simply cannot pull off no matter how hard I try is   most yellows and super pale colors, b/c I'm super pale and my hair doesn't do well with yellows   .

7.  The color of my favorite dress is   black with bunnies or that pink vintage frock my hubby bought me in Austin...I can't decide   .

Taco Tuesday: Simple Song

The Shins new album, 'Port of Morrow' came out today, and my husband is going all fan boy about it this morning. He tried to see them while he was at SXSW, but he was so busy he couldn't catch any music.

This video made me laugh. Check it out.  

They are touring now, so if you get a chance to see them you should! I know if they come anywhere near us we will be there with bells on!

You Can Do It! A To Do List

Starting tomorrow, I have 2 days off and I want to get tons of things done. Sometimes it's nice to come back and scratch things off the list. Here goes....

1. Update Etsy.
2. Finish the doll I've been working on for ages.
3. Select the perfect paint color for the dining room (maybe pink?).
4. Find all artwork that needs frames.
5. Go buy frames and hang it up!
6. Re-Arrange furniture.
7. Perhaps start a Big Cartel, with Shop My Closet Items.
8. Get giveaway set up.
9. Get Sponsor giveaway set up.
10. Put up laundry.
11. Clean, Clean, Clean!
12. Finish planning husband's birthday party.
13. Take pups for haircuts
14. Plan out blog posts for rest of week.
15. Plan out meals and do some grocery shopping!

I know there are a million other things on my mind, but I'll start and stop there.

Today I wanted to spotlight artist Danny Brito. I think all of his work is amazing and whimsical. Definitely an inspiration. Here are a few of his amazing treasures:

Hel-Looks

These are some of my favorite looks from hel-looks.com. I am a sucker for street fashion.

I like how everyone is either wearing something from their mom or grandma, or it's vintage or re-purposed. I also enjoyed reading what inspired each look. Several of the looks I liked, mentioned being inspired by the 90's. I think that's rad.

Nerdy but Cute

When my friend Heather came to visit, she informed me that I was missing out on some awesome Adventure Time comics. Sadly they were out of stock. Good thing I decided to stalk KaBoom! Studios, and now I am the owner of 3 shiny comics (well as soon as they come in the mail).

I love this show! It's cute and quirky and makes my day. On my birthday we actually watched all the episodes they had streaming on Cartoon Network. I need to go buy the DVD's and my life will be complete. >_<

For The Home

My husband's birthday is coming up and he wants to have a party here at the house,  and I have guests coming after that to stay for a wedding, so I was thinking of sprucing up the living room and other areas of the house guests would be coming to. Here is a bit of inspiration from Pinterest.....
