My Life As A Teacup

Today I did a little guest post over at My Life As a Teacup. There you can find a little Halloween DIY with the embroidery patterns I made.

Also on the agenda today was hair cuts. My husband needed a hair cut so bad...he had some kind of wolf boy hair (and not in the Teen Wolf kinda way). I just needed a bang trim, since my attempt at straight lines failed...

Now it's back to watching my Korean dramedy (that's comedy/drama...netflix told me).

How To Make A Pumpkin Spice Latte At Home

It's that time of the year where the weather gets cooler, Hobby Lobby puts out Halloween and fall stuff, Bath and Body Works gets yummy smelling candles, and Starbucks brings back the pumpkin spice latte.  If you don't know, I am a coffee addict, and I've already had like 10 pumpkin spice lattes and spent my weekly food allowance for 'mall food'.  Since I'm off today, and it's a pj day, I'm not leaving my house, but I was craving a pumpkin spice latte. Then it came to me....I can make my own! So here is the recipe to make your own pumpkin spice latte super cheap and probably enough fixins to last you the whole season (unless you share, which I don't).

Here's what you need:

Maxwell House International Coffee. I like the hazelnut flavor and the cafe style since it makes it more frothy like a latte.

 Loco Cocoa from Think Geek. You obviously need the Pumpkin Spice Mocha Cocoa. (The other flavors are really good too!)

What you do:

1. Heat water in your coffee mug in the microwave. ( I use a standard mug and it takes 2 minutes. Note: Don't fill your mug to the top with water, you need room to put the coffee in.)

2. After it's heated I put in 2 regular kitchen spoons of instant coffee and 2 of the same of Loco Cocoa.

3. Mix and enjoy!

4. Sometimes if I have it on hand, I put some cool whip and cinnamon on top, just to be fancy. 

Side Note: I like my coffee caffeinated which is why I use the loco cocoa (it has 175mg of caffeine).

Melt Your Face Off

It is super hot here in Texas, like melt your face off hot. I have been hanging out indoors finishing up season 3 of True Blood, and trying to get some laundry done. I also ate a bag full of strawberry gummi bears. Here are a few things I am loving this week....

Find Your Inner Rockstar

Today I woke up feeling like a rockstar(with that Ke$ha song Tik Toc stuck in my head) and wanted to inspire you to find your inner rockstar with some fashion DIY and hair product reviews.

I recently stumbled upon this amazing fashion blog Sincerely, Jules. Her post today inspired me to DIY some cut off boyfriend shorts. She has super amazing style, so check her out.

Another fun DIY comes from WhoWhatWear.com . It looks super fun and easy. Definately a look I would rock. Now I just need to hit up some thrift stores to find the perfect trench.

Product Reviews

I am a super huge fan of TIGI products. When I used to hair model for Toni & Guy, my stylist used their products in my hair and I love the smell and effects. I recently took this dry shampoo with me to SXSW and it was a lifesaver! I had been looking for a dry shampoo and the girls over at Mucho Bueno Bueno recommended TIGI. It has an awesome citrus smell and doesn't turn my hair all white and crazy like some other brands I've tried.

Yesterday I grabbed some TIGI Rockaholic Born To Rock Leave in Detangler. I am really bad about not brushing my hair and mostly because I have tangly hair, break brushes, and I like the natural waves my hair does if I don't. But somedays I need to get a brush through my crazy mane and it's just impossible. I can't wait to see what this stuff does. I'll update you guys with my progress and hopefully one less broken brush/comb.
