If you've been wondering where I've been, well it's time to let you in on the secret.....me and Mr. Miller are expecting our first baby sometime around Christmas! We couldn't be more excited! So be prepared for some cute baby posts and thanks for following us on this incredible journey! Just to let you know I've have nurseries on the brain! 

Also, my friend T got married last weekend and that took up most of my week last week with the planning, and the baking, and having guests, and doing fun stuff. She's in Europe now, having fun without me...I wish some macaroon's would survive the trip back.....

 

Happy Anniversary!

Today is our 1st anniversary! We are super excited to just hang out together and relax. It's crazy how it's rainy today, since it was kinda rainy this day last year. But rain on your wedding day is a good sign, or so I'm told. Enjoy a few pictures I may not have posted before....

Puppiness!

Something that always cheers me up is my puppies, Loki & Duo. They are my best buds, and give the best kisses. I also love baking! Sugar makes me happy! This week I baked some puppy snaps for Clint's boss at work who is transferring to another store. I used Gingerbread cake mix to make these cookies. They were even hard like gingersnaps. Of course I had to make them cute and puppy shaped. I got this cookie cutter at Michael's a long time ago, it's Mary Engelbreit.

My favorite part of that day was Clint calling me on his lunch break and telling me this:

Guy he works with: "Why are these cookies dog shaped?"

Clint: "Because my wife likes cute stuff."

Here is Loki snoozing on his pillow. He sleeps like a little human. He even knows how to tuck himself into the bed at night lol. I love him!

Well I'm off to finish letters of interest, and hunt down a teaching job! PS My little sister is getting married today at 3:30! I can't be there to hit up the JP with her, but CONGRATS! I'll be seeing you next week! :)

Massive Taco Tuesday To Do List

Today I had so much I wanted to do, but didn't. I did finish another assignment and I am doing some laundry! So tiny accomplishment there! Clint is on his way home from Phoenix. The band cut the tour short b/c there was another fire at his parents house. No one was hurt or anything but they have smoke damage again, and are waiting on the verdict from the Fire Marshall.

I wish I had a record player...I would be outside doing this...

I need to check out the bike I found in my garage and then do some of this...
I've been drinking tea all day, but I wouldn't mind a cupcake...
When I was little in the town I'm from there used to be hot air balloon races and kite flying...I miss those days...
I want to make crowns for my puppies, but they would just eat them...but isn't it sweet?
Massive Taco Tuesday To Do List:

1. more homework.

2. study for certification test

3. more laundry

4. brand ambassadors project (for work, yes even work gives me homework)

5. figure out and sign up for benefits

6. put up laundry and clean up bedroom

7. print more invites and send out

8. work on bunting

9. fix vintage bag loki ate part of....sad but true

10. search etsy for suspenders and a newsboy hat for clint to wear to the wedding

So the night owl in me is back! Which is probably a bad thing. But last night I stayed up late and cleaned up my little studio space. I only took one before pic, but you couldn't even walk into the room before this first photo was taken...sad but true...

I haven't been able to buy any organizational stuff, so I am just using found things out of my garage. But hey, recycling is a good thing :)

This is Loki helping me with wedding stuff today. I work on the floor a lot, but the puppies try to take it over lol...PS that is Loki's Hello Kitty rug!

Did I mention that the puppies ran away today?! I freaked out b/c I love them so much and I searched the neighborhood. I was gone all day, so they must have been running around the neighborhood all day. One of the pickets in our fence blew off and they squeezed out. I found them around the corner. They saw me and headed home lol. Loki went straight to the front door, Duo just kept going. I don't think Duo knows where he lives. But they are safe and sound and we fixed the fence. Stupid crazy Texas winds.

Here is the invite I made. You can't really see the detail from the scan, but I used velum and used drafting tape to make it stay. :)

My boss is throwing me a bridal shower, and I volunteered to make the poster to hang at work.

Today Clint's mom came down, and we got tons of wedding stuff done! Flowers are ordered and decor pretty much done. She bought me a bridal book. There's lots of things about weddings that I have no clue about. We have some much more to do...I have my list and I am checking things off!

So lately I have been having weirdo dreams. Last night or early this morning I dreamt I had a transformer suburban and it transformed into a segway, and that guy from that movie Mall Cop tried stealing it when I stopped at a hotdog stand. I think it's strange I've been remembering my weird dreams...I think it happens less when I have to get up early for work lol...what do you dream?

French Country Wedding

So I am sure everyone has heard the news, but Clint and I are getting married on May 1, 2010! Which gives US about 4 months to plan this shindig! We want it to be small with close friends and family. We are really laid back, so nothing fancy. I just wanted to share the plans we've made so far with some visuals...

My momma wants me to wear a fancy dress, but I'm leaning towards something vintage with my fav cowboy boots my friend Brooke gave me. These first 3 dresses are from Sarahseven on Etsy. I doubt I'll actually get one b/c of time constraints, but I think they are adorable.

This photo is from someone's real wedding I saw on the Green Wedding Shoes blog. They had a cute carnival theme!

Clint's parents have a tandem bike, and we hope to get our engagement pics done with it. Super cute!

We are having a backyard wedding at his parents ranch. I think this is a cute and inexpensive seating arrangement!

I love the idea of the vintage frames with pics in the tree. There is a perfect tree for this at his parents.
I plan to use the cute fabric banners from Sparkle Power's etsy store, I just need to figure out how many I need!
And of course we are going to have a cupcake tower instead of the traditional wedding cake, b/c I lovelove cupcakes!

There is so much to do! We have to idea for the invites involving tandem bikes, that we plan to screenprint ourselves at home in our bathroom like we always do! lol. As soon as we do them, which will be soon I'll post them up! Hopefully today I'll get dressed and head over to the Vintage Rose, and look at some vintage dresses....look forward to more wedding posts! xo

wedding, weddings, and yes weddings

So I have weddings on the brain again. C.Cakes isn't super interested in helping with the planning lol I'll ask his opinion and he'll give it, but he doesn't want to sit for hours with me and pour over blogs, webpages, and magazines. I guess most guys are like that. I've been looking at pictures on http://greenweddingshoes.blogspot.com for inspiration. That's where all of these photos and their credits can be found.

These photos are engagement photos that I thought were lovely and simple. I'm sure we'll get around to engagement photos...eventually.

I almost died when i saw this pic! i love the umbrella and her dress is to die for...i'm in love with it!
