A Day Late, A Dollar Short

I'm trying to get ready for work, but I wanted to post a quick picture I was able to snap of my outfit from yesterday! This is one of the skirts I found at the thrift store (I'm wearing another today!). Speaking of a dollar short...do you ever have to pay for, say your Peace Tea that only cost $1.07, with your debit card because you never have cash on you? Daily occurrence for me...

Confessions of a Shopaholic: Thrifting

Today is my last day off from work for a while, and I really wanted to go thrifting. I feel like I don't get to the the thrift stores enough. My friend Calley was able to go with me, and I was super lucky because I got stuck in this crazy awesome 80's dress. Sadly this dress had no zipper, so new rule, no zipper no deal. I was freaking out pretty bad, but Calley totally saved the day and got to see me in my underwear.

I found some really awesome tea length flowy skirts (art teacher style), a 4th of July crop top (it's navy with yellow stars), a tribal one piece pantsuit, a dress (with shoulder pads...had to take those out), a cotton candy shirt, and a few bags I totally didn't need.

I am hoping soon I will start posting the items for shop my closet. I have a few things set aside. Would you shop from this shopaholic's closet?

I haven't done one of these in a while. I'm really wanting thai food today. We got home really late last night from an awesome Miller party (so awesome my husband is still sleeping and it's 1pm) . Maybe I'll get around to posting some pictures later today....

Taco Tuesday: Ooh LaLa

Today the husband and I went in search of these yummy chocolatey hippos that they sell at World Market, they were out. But I did score these rad Blowfish shoes a few stores down. I told Clint that he has 10 years worth of husband of the year awards lined up. He said that was good because he was going to be a jerk now. Silly boy. He also informed me I have to give away 2 pairs of shoes....again, silly boy. Seriously, you don't get between a girl and her shoes....

Today I had a yummy breakfast thanks to Sugar Brown's. If you ever come to Lubbock, go to SB's, you won't be disappointed. (BEST coffee EVER!)

Outfit post #3 is shaky at best. I was dead tired this morning and threw on this frump of a number. I decided to cheat and switch out my khaki's for these jeggings I had been lusting over in my store that went on sale for $6. I know, you're not supposed to buy anything while doing this challenge, but it was husband approved.

I was trying to get a picture of these earrings I wore today because they are rad, but it just kinda looks like my hair.

These shoes are super comfy, and very chic!

I only had time for a quick snap shot this morning at work. Today was all about comfort, and wishing I would've worn pants. Everywhere I was today (not outside) it was freezing, like arctic tundra freezing....

I had a guy tell me he loved me today because I was witty. I thought he was just silly....

I Like Your Hat

Today was one of those days where I didn't feel like working, my coffee tasted terrible, and I thought putting beans on my breakfast burrito was a good idea. Good thing I looked cute or I would've been sure today was Tuesday and the world was ending.

Today I layered a maxi dress with a Malibu Native tee and belt. I threw on my straw fedora and leopard keds and decided to paint the town red....or just go to work and get lots of creepy 'I like your hat' comments....

Day 1

Day 1 was a little bit hectic. There was this whole cause and effect/chain of events that were spiraling out of control thing going on. That usually happens when you stay up past 2am trying to pick out your 30 items, and then try to find/take pictures to put on your blog...all before work...and without coffee. Did I mention that we don't have a camera at our house?! My wonderful husband likes to leave our useful gadgets at random people's houses while he's on tour.
