Dolly Dreams and Baby Things

This weekend my mom came for a visit since I am all alone while Clint is on tour. She went to a garage sale in my neighborhood and found this rad Dolly Parton drawing!

We also bought lots of cute baby things.....

I hope my baby loves this Blabla doll as much as I do!

We found these red cowboy boots at Old Navy. My little rockstar needs boots! haha

Here are a few cute baby things from Pinterest....

Mom also helped me clean out some closets and get things moved around. I was super excited to be able to hang thing in the baby's closet. I can't wait to do more work on the nursery.

Would it be weird if I named my baby Dolly???

A Day In Between

Today is my day off, and only day in between jobs. Here are a few things I've been loving this week:

1. Josh Ritter-The Curse. My husband and I can't stop listening to this record.

2. No-Bake Strawberry Ice Box Cake.  I've been wanting to make something like this forever!
3. This Jolene Dolly Parton t-shirt.
4. This cute outfit from Kendi Everyday.
5. This dress from LeahGoren on Etsy. I wish I could afford one!
6. Natalie Portman.
7. Crazy cute kittens. I just want to squeeze it!
My husband is super excited because the materials he ordered to make his own beer should be here today. He's cute, but he keeps telling me the house is going to smell like booze. I'll try to take pictures of the process.

Happy Thursday!

PS Stay tuned for a giveaway coming soon!

A Very Merry Hipster Valentines with the Millers

Clint and I don't really make a big deal about V-day. We're happy to be together everyday. Every year we get Chinese take out because trying to go out to eat is killer, you'd probably starve to death while you wait for your table. This year we decided to start some new traditions, buy each other vinyl (we are trying to increase our collection) and make homemade chocolates.

I truthfully got the idea about homemade chocolates from watching too much anime, and I was going to surprise him (but I suck at keeping secrets from him haha). So we are going to make it together, we got little mustache molds to round out our hipster-ness.

This is a quick pic of the 2 records he got for me, I was so excited! I can't wait to listen to them this morning! (If you can't tell they are Dolly Parton, old school style!) I got Clint the new Josh Ritter record with "The Curse" on it. We saw him at SXSW last year and he played that song and it was amazing, you should check it out!

What are you doing for V-day? Whatever it is, I hope it's fun! xo

Dolly Parton vs Maple Syrup

Today is Friday Saturday, and I totally missed out on Fill in the Blank Friday....
It's been a rough day, but yesterday was good so I'll fill you in:

1. The husband and I ate at Cracker Barrel and I had french toast. They give you these mini bottles of maple syrup, which I totally took home with me.

2. We got pretty much all of our Christmas shopping done!

3. We wrapped presents all night while watching Harry Potter and Edward Scissorhands.

4. Clint got me a Pillow Pal raccoon for Christmas that I named Twinkie.

5. I finished all of Princess Jellyfish, and it was super funny and cute!

So I plan to forget Friday ever happened and keep on truckin with my week.

PS I keep hoping Cracker Barrel will have awesome Dolly Parton stuff, but they never do and I'm always disappointed (but the maple syrup is yummy!).

PSS My sister is at the hospital trying to have a baby right now. I have to work, so I can't be there. :(
Another why working in retail is sooo not fun/cool.

Fill In the Blank Friday

1. My go to outfit for a dress-up occasion like a wedding is a LBD from Banana Republic. It was more expensive than my wedding dress lol .

2. This week has been crazy. Lots of changes and things going on .

3. When it's dinnertime and I'm feeling lazy I'll usually eat take out .

5. A random item that I own that is completely unnecessary, but that I could never part with is my Sailor Moon wall clock (non-digital) that I always need to put batteries in .

6. My favorite person is my husband and puppies, but that's a given. After that it's a tie between Dolly Parton, Amanda Bynes, and Kenny Rogers .

7. If I were going to write my own blank it would say If you were a Scooby Doo character, who would you be and why? .

My Weekend in Photos

This is the first chance I've had to blog since I got back from visiting my family in San Angelo. I had a great time hanging out with Avery and watching her silly faces and dances. I tried to hang out with my friend Dez for some boboa tea (SA has one but lubbock doesn't?!), but they were closed by the time we could meet up...so next time!

Avery loves books! This is one I got her for Christmas! She is reading to herself.

We went and ate at this Japanese Teppanyaki Grill called Shoguns, where I had lots of veggies, sushi, and Ramune soda. Afterwards, we went and watched the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
Avery watching a movie. It's cute because she tries to say the words with the movie, claps when it starts, and does these little dances to the music.

Roadtrip face.

Ramune soda.

Oreo ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins.

Found this Dolly mug at Goodwill.

Avery loves Goodwill and my shades!

It was a good weekend!
