What's The What

This week I've had a boost in energy and I feel a tiny bit accomplished. I've been researching and fleshing out my idea for the childrens book that's been stuck in my head for years.

I wore a maternity dress lol...

My bump is growing!

I made home made chicken nuggets that were so yummy, I might make them again tomorrow1

And I've been making lists and lists of baby names...

That's what I've been up to this week, (besides watching True Blood) what have you been up to?

That's What She Said Sunday

I'm off today and I feel like doing lots of things. But all of those things would require me to get dressed, get out of this recliner, and get off tumblr and pinterest.
They should make a tea that motivates you when you drink it. I would drink so much, and get so much done! Or just hire a personal assistant and maid.
I need to pot my strawberry plant (no name yet) and water my cactus (it's named Earl, but is a female).
Who want to go thrifting with me? Let's just go in our pj's.....

Tea and All That Jazz

This past week my friend Heather and I went to one of the local coffee shops here in Lubbock, called Good Brews for their Saturday morning waffles and live Jazz music. Since I have been on this no coffee kick recently, and Heather is an expert tea drinker, we were on a mission to try all of their awesome teas.

This is the China Breakfast black tea. It was one of my favorites, but I tend to prefer black tea because of the taste and caffeine.

It was really windy that day, so of course my hair was sticking up all crazy.

This is Heather letting me take her picture, she was a good sport about it.

Yay for waffles! They were delicious!

While there we also tried a Pu-erh Ginger tea, Jasmine Pearl Green tea, and some Yerba Mate. They were all very good!

Throughout the week, Heather and I went to different places to check out and purchase some yummy teas. We went to my local organic grocery store and World Market, and had a blast talking about teas we've tried and ones we needed to try!

I had this chamomile citrus last year at this organic diner in Austin, when we were there for SXSW. I am glad I was able to find it here in Lubbock.
I was so impressed by the first Mighty Leaf Tea I tried, that I wanted to try as many as I could get my hands on! This one is amazing and only lightly caffeinated.

This Tazo Awake tea is what I have been drinking in the morning. I need the caffeine boost to get me started and being an avid coffee drinker I'm still trying to make the transition, so this helps.
At Hastings one day this past week, Heather recommend I try this Blackberry Sage tea from The Republic of Tea. I've been drinking it when I come home from work. It smells heavenly!

My friend Brooke actually turned me onto Twinings Lady Grey. It has a crisp taste that makes me feel British and want to read books.

I hope to soon get into more loose leaf teas. Heather told me I needed this tea maker from Teavana.

What is your favorite tea? I'd like to give it a try! Look forward to more tea related posts in the future!

A Photo an Hour, or So...

I've seen tons of posts of people doing a photo an hour posts, and thought I'd give it a try on my day off the other day....I really didn't get very far before I got side tracked....

9am wake up and hop into my Pika-shoes.

10am Time for blog reading and coffee.

11am Time to make a to do list...most of it did not get done.

12pm Leftovers for lunch. Some kind of artichoke and shrimp pasta.

1pm Time to put on an Eisley record and do some cleaning.

2pm While cleaning, decided cute things needed to go in this cute container.

3pm I decided I needed to do a tarot card reading. It's always spot on.

4pm Time for puppiness!

5pm is all about doll parts.

6pm Time for tea and pocky...and here is where I got distracted. I started watching Boys Over Flowers, which is a Korean dramedy on Netflix and that was the end of my day. But it was a good day off.
What do you do on your day off?

Taco Tuesday: Being Sick Sucks Edition

Yes, it is 3 am and I am awake because I have the worse ear ache ever. I plan to go to the dr. office as soon as they are open. Lets hope my head doesn't explode before 8am. I've been pretty sick this past week, mostly with a sore throat, which escalated into loosing my voice, a cough, and now this ear thing. My house is littered with coffee mugs from all the tea I've been drinking. I've also found Fisherman's Friend to be helpful in soothing my throat for a while. Since I was awake I scoured Tumblr to find some cute and inspiring stuff to share.....I'm going to try to sleep on my couch now....

That's What She Said Sunday!

Today it was snowy and grey.
I drank lots of tea.
Forgot it was Super Bowl Sunday, and tried to go grocery shopping.
Had lunch with friends.
Repacked my bag.
I picked up a few things at JCPenney that were on sale:
I am really liking the I 'Heart' Ronson line. There are a few other items I would like to pick up before they are gone....

PS I leave for Dallas in the morning, so my updates may be non-existent...I'll try updating from my phone :) If not have a great week!

Like Fireworks

Sounds like a good idea to me!

I've been pretty mopey, so I wanted to post some pretty things. I wasted today, but the night is young.

today was about:
thrifted sweaters
grocery shopping
taco bell
mountain dew
mini pizzas
black butler
tamagotchi
puppy love
doing dishes
mumford and sons

How do you motivate yourself? I could use some suggestions....
