Baby Reveal Party

This Saturday, we had a small gathering of family over to reveal the gender of our baby. I know it's usually the parents that have to wait to find out, but I just had to know. It was super fun, and it was really the first time we had lots of family over at the same time. 

I didn't go too crazy with the decorations. Our local party store had lots of cute things for only 50 cents!

I haven't baked a cake cake in a long time, I'm usually the cupcake master. So it was interesting to get the frosting on and keep it on. (Cream cheese frosting melts quickly, even at room temperature).

We had Granny Lou cut the cake! Everyone could hardly stand the wait! :)

Holy Freaking Pink Batman!

Today I went to Michael's in search of canvas and whatever nick nacks I feel the urge to pick up along the way. In the end I just wanted to use my coupon that I had printed off their website. I have been on this huge I want to use coupons and save money kick, but I totally suck at it. Once I get to the register with my canvas, doilies, and sale yarn I notice I have to spend 2 more dollars to use my lovely coupon. I grab up a bubble wand and I'm like lets do this! The cashier dude scans my coupon and EPIC FAIL! He says it doesn't work on discounted or sale items (which was everything but my dumb $2 bubble wand). Needless to say, instead of holding up the line I sadly pay for my items and pout my way out the door. But hey, I do have a nifty bubble wand and learned a valuable lesson in reading the fine print.

Did I mention I kind of accidently dyed my hair HOT FREAKING PINK?! An old man came up to me today at Barnes and Noble to tell me how much he liked it.

I'm going to spend the rest of my day watching Roswell, painting, possibly eating gummy bears, and hugging puppies.

When You Don't Feel Like Blogging

I'm kinda in the mood not to blog, but it's Friday and I have a busy weekend of working so I may not have the chance again...

I feel like doing a million things, but I haven't even motivated myself to start...so I'm going to scream....

and get started...

I did get out of my pj's today. The husband and I went and saw the X-men movie, went Thrifting, and had some thai food...there was an attempt to buy groceries but it was hella busy so we just left emtpy handed.

I'm off to dye my hair, do some laundry, and clean up the craft room so I can actually get my craft on...ciao

Hooray! Blogger is working again! Since I've been gone, I now have pink hairs! In other news, I have an episode of The Vampire Diaries to watch, and then I will work on being super lazy on my day off.

PS. I say everything is a 'hot mess', for the record....

Taco Tuesday: Being Sick Sucks Edition

Yes, it is 3 am and I am awake because I have the worse ear ache ever. I plan to go to the dr. office as soon as they are open. Lets hope my head doesn't explode before 8am. I've been pretty sick this past week, mostly with a sore throat, which escalated into loosing my voice, a cough, and now this ear thing. My house is littered with coffee mugs from all the tea I've been drinking. I've also found Fisherman's Friend to be helpful in soothing my throat for a while. Since I was awake I scoured Tumblr to find some cute and inspiring stuff to share.....I'm going to try to sleep on my couch now....

Cute Candy Attack!

Today I wore shorts with no tights, and no one made fun of me. Usually some crazy oompa-loompa like person makes fun of me for being white. And by oompa-loompa I mean like spray tan orange people. I had become super self conscious of how pale I am since moving here, and strangers making super mean comments, which is totally not me. So I gave myself a logical pep talk about how skin cancer/wrinkley free I am, etc., and mostly how I never care what people think so why start now! :)

I get mistaken for Kirsten Dunst a lot, and she's super pale, so I figure if she can do it so can I.

Today I hit up Sephora on my lunch break and all this cute Hello Kitty stuff caught my eye! I couldn't make myself buy any of it because it was kinda pricey, but cute.

Product review time: I love love Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail strips. I have black and white checkerboard on now. I want most of the ones pictures here, but none more than the leopard. These cute polishes are hard to find in town, but I'll check online later.

Sherri from Eisley blogged about dyeing hair. We're like hair dyeing twins separated at birth. I've never tried Special Effects (probably because they don't sell that brand around here), but until I can order it online I'll probably just get some manic panic. I'm hoping to talk my husband into helping me make my hair blonde, then pink. It should be an adventure since I usually go to the salon....wish me luck.

Taco Tuesday

Today I'm obsessed with pink. I can't wait to have pink hair (whenever I get around to getting it done). I'm also obsessed with Negima?! and chupacabras, and I want to make chupacabra research society t-shirts. I've been super busy this week with work stuffs. I need to dye my hair blue and figure out what to wear for work tomorrow and study some work stats.....so enjoy some pink inspiration....

So today is the first day that I have not remembered what I dreamt. I think it's because I had to be at work early and I was dead tired. But I hope I have a dream like this tonight!
