Taco Tuesday

I haven't done a Taco Tuesday post in a while! Things seem to be always busy around here....

My husband woke up with a sore throat on the morning of our sonogram appointment to find out the gender of the baby, so I made him some tea in his dad mug I got him for Father's Day.

I got a hair cut this week. My long hair was out of control!

This Saturday, we are having a baby reveal party for our family. I am going to make a cake that will reveal the sex of the baby! I am super excited. I hand made all the invites I sent out, and learned that preggo carpal tunnel sucks. They turned out cute, so I guess the pain was worth it. Clint and I are super excited to let everyone know about the baby! We have the name narrowed down to 2 possibilities and are working on nursery ideas....I will share more after the BIG REVEAL!

Warm Squishy Feelings

Last night my husband rolled into town just in time for dinner. I made some yummy organic pasta. We had fun catching up and loving on puppies (they missed him bunches). Although he is a little worse for wear, I'll fatten him up in no time.

This is going to be my mantra for today, 'NO WHINING' ! Mostly, work makes me whine-y and I complain more than the average bear....but it's work so it's not supposed to be all puppies and rainbows. How do you keep a positive attitude when your job is bringing you down?

Yesterday I worked a bit on some projects I am working on. One project has a deadline (this Thursday), the other I've set up a quasi-deadline. I have a lot on my plate, and I for one would like to actually finish something I start lol.

Is It Too Hot To Leave My House?

I've decided that when I grow up I want to be Ariel. Today would be a good day to be Ariel, since it's so hot, and she is dressed appropriately for the weather.....Also is Tangled out on dvd? My husband is heading home tomorrow! I'm super excited! I'm getting tired of hanging out by myself all the time. Clint just makes doing everything 10x's more fun!

2. hit up sally's for nothing in particular
3. go thrift store shopping b/c I can (but not buy anything)
4. go to this new yogurt place up the street
5. make tofu pad thai for dinner
6. get some stuff ready to mail
7. send a few emails
8. work on paintings and such
9. do years worth of laundry
10. give myself a pedicure
11. i'm supposed to clean the bathroom :(

13. watch some heroic age

When You Don't Feel Like Blogging

I'm kinda in the mood not to blog, but it's Friday and I have a busy weekend of working so I may not have the chance again...

I feel like doing a million things, but I haven't even motivated myself to start...so I'm going to scream....

and get started...

I did get out of my pj's today. The husband and I went and saw the X-men movie, went Thrifting, and had some thai food...there was an attempt to buy groceries but it was hella busy so we just left emtpy handed.

I'm off to dye my hair, do some laundry, and clean up the craft room so I can actually get my craft on...ciao

Happy Birthday Babycakes: 34 is the New 21

Today is my husband's birthday! I woke up and told him happy 21st lol (but he's really 34). We've had so much fun together over the years, and I hope he enjoys his special day! I am making dinner and brownies and I'm going to take him out for lunch today (he is at work). I have so much to do and no time at all! So here is a little ode to my amazingly awesome super cute husband....

Hello April

It's already April. My husband's birthday is Monday and I already gave him his presents. I'm really bad at hiding things/keeping secrets from him lol. I just got him some records and a Mumford & Sons tshirt.

I've been planning my blogposts for the the week, but I've been working a ton and other life stuffs that I never make it to the computer. I need an ipad so I can just get things done whenever, like when I'm waiting in line for coffee.

This month I plan to get a bunch of projects done:

1. finish planting my garden (i planted my herbs already)

2. work on a logo design for someone :)

3. Make curtains for the house. ( I think I finally found some fabric I like)

4. Work on paintings/other arty projects

5. Finish reading the Vampire Diaries series and watching the show (I am addicted)

What are you looking forward to this spring? I need to ask off work for my anniversary....

End of the World

It's cold and snowy, and I plan to just stay home with my tea and netflix. My husband is using his man logic today: call in to work, but still want to head out to his show tonight (where there will be no people to hear the music anyway...but hey man logic rules).

This is me and T yesterday not sledding, since there was not enough snow...but there was enough cold so we just went home....oh hi snowocalypse

Welcome Home Dinner

Today I am counting down the hours until my husband's flight gets in this evening! He has been on tour with his band Thrift Store Cowboys. I've been super lonely and I've really missed him!

Isn't he adorable?! He has been on a diet of pizza, so he said he wanted something healthy with veggies for dinner. So I am planning on making him shrimp linguini that has cherry tomatoes and asparagus in it. I'm trying to decide what other veggies might be good in it...

Instax Love!

Today I chased my mailman about 5 blocks in order to get my instax camera I had ordered from walmart.com of all places. Mine is all white, not pink like this one, but beggars can't be choosers. I didn't have time to play with it this morning b/c I was headed to work, but my first pic was of my cute husband. I can't wait to take this everywhere! I just need to figure out if I can get film here instead of ordering it online. PS the camera is definitely smaller than it appears in pictures.

On a side note I ate 4 awesome cupcakes today, and I don't regret it.
