Fill In the Blank Friday: Birthday Edition

1. My most favorite birthday was my 22nd birthday? It was the year T and Shana and Heather baked a million strawberry cupcakes for my party and we danced all night to Gold Digger and My Humps lol .

2. My worst birthday was I think that one year when my boyfriend of like 7 years didn't show up to my party... or this year when I forced everyone to go see Black Swan and then wished we were watching Tangled...(did Black Swan traumatize anyone else?) .

3. My favorite birthday memory is my 21st birthday, which was kinda lame lol A big group of my friends went and ate at Red Lobster and I got to order fancy cocktails. Later I went home and my sis and bf had gotten me a Hello Kitty cake and balloon bouquet. My mom got me a Casio Keyboard b/c I wanted to learn to play 'A Whole New World' from Alladin .

4. The best birthday present I've ever received was the first gift Clint ever gave me for my birthday, which was a Hello Kitty toaster lol I love it and use it to this day .

5. The best birthday present I've ever given was oh geez, I'm not sure...I think the best gift I could give my husband would be tickets to a Yann Tiersen concert though... .

6. Birthdays are my least favorite thing to celebrate for me since my birthday is on a holiday (New Years Eve) and my husband usually has a show and is playing on stage while I'm in the crowd all lonely with a bunch of drunkards... .

7. My favorite age so far has been 23 or 24 where I was wild and crazy and took off around the country and sang lots of Karaoke .

Happy Birthday Babycakes: 34 is the New 21

Today is my husband's birthday! I woke up and told him happy 21st lol (but he's really 34). We've had so much fun together over the years, and I hope he enjoys his special day! I am making dinner and brownies and I'm going to take him out for lunch today (he is at work). I have so much to do and no time at all! So here is a little ode to my amazingly awesome super cute husband....

Hello April

It's already April. My husband's birthday is Monday and I already gave him his presents. I'm really bad at hiding things/keeping secrets from him lol. I just got him some records and a Mumford & Sons tshirt.

I've been planning my blogposts for the the week, but I've been working a ton and other life stuffs that I never make it to the computer. I need an ipad so I can just get things done whenever, like when I'm waiting in line for coffee.

This month I plan to get a bunch of projects done:

1. finish planting my garden (i planted my herbs already)

2. work on a logo design for someone :)

3. Make curtains for the house. ( I think I finally found some fabric I like)

4. Work on paintings/other arty projects

5. Finish reading the Vampire Diaries series and watching the show (I am addicted)

What are you looking forward to this spring? I need to ask off work for my anniversary....

Birthdays & Bathrooms

It's my birthday! I'm not sure what all we are going to do to celebrate? There are talks of Japanese food and going to watch Black Swan. I'd also like to go to starbucks and thrift store shopping (just b/c I never get to go!). One year my momma got me a Power Rangers birthday cake. This is a pic of my friend Teresa in her pink ranger costume...she came out of my bathroom and scared me!

Well I still have to sleep before any festivities begin.

Fill In The Blank Friday: Black Friday Edition

1. Black Friday is for the birds .

2. Christmas shopping this year will include mostly handmade .

3. Holiday shopping makes me a bit stressed, I never know what to get/make everyone. I also try to make all the gifts and get behind schedule .

4. This year my Christmas list will include a lot of wished for items, but I'm not expecting anything. All I really want is a Tamagotchi .

5. Bargain hunter, or full price shopper? Bargains, yay! But I get tired of looking and just buy things full price, but I am hoping for a mostly handmade X-mas.

6. The best and worst things about shopping is planning on doing it early and all online, then not getting it done and stressing. Not sticking to my schedule so I'm not last minute shopping .

7. Online shopper or in-person shopper? I prefer shopping online. I wish I could just get everything on Etsy, but I usually wait too long so I can't get it on time. I'm proud that I did get a few things already from etsy :) .

I worked today and it wasn't too bad. I'm home relaxing with the puppies. I've gotta get my handmade holiday schedule in order, and send out my Christmas cards. :) Happy Weekend. PS it's my lil sister's bday today! She's super old!

Harry Potter Day! (aka Ashley's Bday)

My sister's birthday is the day after Thanksgiving, and we are talking about going to see Harry Potter. My sister is a huge fan of the movies, but has never read any of the books. :(

I am making her some german chocolate cupcakes, and hopefully I can whip up some HP themed decor. I usually don't get to spend the day with my sister on her birthday b/c we are both usually working on black friday. I am glad this year that we can hang out and do something special. Having birthdays near/on holidays stinks.

Today I have plans to clean, clean, clean, and then do laundry....

I was catching up on some blog reading, and my Christmas list was mentioned on Dressing on The Side's blog! For some reason this totally made my day!
