Music & Shoes: A Weekend of Awesomeness

I had a great weekend filled with cute shoes and awesome music! Take a look....

Steven by Steve Madden

These are the shoes that I wore to the show on Saturday night. It was love at first sight.

This was J.P. & The Gilberts from NYC. Their music had a very fun blue grassy feel.

This is CoCo playing his squeeze box with Thrift Store Cowboys.

Shoes from Gap

These are the shoes that I wore on Sunday. I love a good oxford.

This is me practicing my fishy face.

Cardigan: Francesca's, Dino Top: Francesca's, Jeans: Bullhead Black from Pacsun, Shoes: Gap

This is my first outfit post from my new job. I have worn so many cute outfits that I wish I had taken pictures of. Sunday's we can wear jeans which is nice :)

Last night was my first adventure to The Prairie Fire Theater. It's all ages, no smoking, and BYOB. Definitely a different atmosphere than I'm used to, but a nice change.
This is one of the members from Slow Static. I was really impressed with their sound, and would totally listen to their music while doing arty stuff.

This is a quick picture of TSC (my hubby is on the right in the orange). I was pretty sure he was going to fall off stage, but he didn't....but his glasses did fly off his face!

I didn't get a picture of The Diamond Center, but here's a rad video

How was your weekend?

ModCloth: A Christmas Wishlist

Today the husband and I did a little Christmas shopping, which got me to thinking, 'what do I want for Christmas?' I am not hard to shop for, because I like everything. I started doing a little online window shopping, and it looks like it got out of hand...Check out some of my favs from ModCloth.

What do you want for Christmas?

Why I Don't Like Going To Target

I recently went to Target for dog food and Halloween candy and came out with a bunch of Hello Kitty stuffs from the $1 bins and this stuff....
Most comfortable shoes ever!

I love this game and found this shirt in the guys section while looking for something for my husband.

I'm the girl who always shops in the little girls section. Don't hate, it's cuter and cheaper. I plan to never grow up.

That D-Signed stuff is super cute! Calleycakes thinks these could be a no, but we'll see if I can change her mind lol.

Sorry I've been a bit behind on blogging due to work, and wanting to catch up on some sleep. Soon I'll post some baby shower and Halloween pictures.

A Vicious Cycle: Inspiration/Motivation

I have this terrible problem of getting super inspired/motivated right when it's time for me to get ready and go to work. Then I go to work, get home and I'm too tired to do anything but sleep. There just aren't enough hours in the day. Well hopefully I can break this vicious cycle soon...in the mean time here are some things that are inspiring me this lovely Friday....

I just discovered Juliette Crane's blog and paintings! I'm very inspired to go outside and paint now!
I'm your Present always make lots of pretty things that I wish were in my closet....
A new fashion blog that I've been reading is Atlantic-Pacific...her outfits are amazing!

Confessions of a Shopaholic: Cleaning out the Closet(s)

It took some time to motivate myself to clean out a closet today. I say 'a' because there is more than one that need some work. By the time my husband was home from work, I'd only succeeded in making a 'maybe get rid of pile' and an 'i love this stuff pile'. It really was just a huge mess...and still is. He decided to try to help me tackle my shoes instead of clothes. It took 2 hours and lots of bargaining and whining on my part, but my shoes are more organized and I have a mountain to give away. My husband was amazed at the number of sandals I had and said I could only keep 10!
I still have lots of work to do, but it's a start at least. Today I read numerous articles about how much stuff is enough stuff, and why we feel the need to buy. What do you think?

Here are some pictures I took throughout the day to distract myself from the task at hand...

I did get some laundry done!
