Fill In The Blank Friday

1. I am a hot mess, my husband agrees.

2. The bravest thing I've ever done was call off my engagement a month before the wedding, because I realized I wasn't in love anymore. Obviously I'm happily married to the man of my dreams now, so everything worked out.

3. I feel prettiest when I get gussied up, especially when I get my hair done. My husband would say in t-shirt and jeans. lol .

4. Something that keeps me awake at night is anything, my brain likes to work overtime, it also likes to have weird dreams .

5. My favorite meal in the entire world is normally I would say tacos, but now that I am eating vegetarian perhaps risotto or miso soup .

6. The way to my heart is through cupcakes.

7. I would like to do lots of things, so I had to make a list, but going to Disney World is a top priority .

The Swing of Things

I'm back from Dallas! I couldn't be more excited! I missed my husband, puppies, bed, and Sailor Moon mug! Hopefully I will get back into the swing of things. Today I've been feeling kinda blah, it could be the over sleeping, caffeine withdrawals, or I'm really getting sick.
The weather has gone from snow to 80 something degrees around here, so go outside and play! I may be outside tomorrow waiting on my mailman, since I can't get my mail box open. It'll be like a stakeout.
While I was gone, I saw the movie 'No Strings Attached', did a bit of shopping, read the Hunger Games trilogy, and watched the Grammy's.
My hair needs some TLC. I really don't know what to do with it?! I think I need Jasmine's wisdom....
I drank a tall soy cinnamon dolce latte pretty much everyday I was gone...so now I'm trying to beat my coffee addiction again...oops

That's What She Said Sunday!

Today it was snowy and grey.
I drank lots of tea.
Forgot it was Super Bowl Sunday, and tried to go grocery shopping.
Had lunch with friends.
Repacked my bag.
I picked up a few things at JCPenney that were on sale:
I am really liking the I 'Heart' Ronson line. There are a few other items I would like to pick up before they are gone....

PS I leave for Dallas in the morning, so my updates may be non-existent...I'll try updating from my phone :) If not have a great week!

Fill In The Blank Friday

1. If I could only read one magazine publication for the rest of eternity, I would choose Nylon .

2. If I were to run my own magazine it would be about DIY fashion, arts&crafts, undergound/local music scenes, saving the planet, home decor...lol a little of everything. Those are things I like to read about .

3. I buy my magazines (at the grocery check stand or via subscription) at Barnes & Noble b/c I am always in the mall, but if I grocery shop alone I tend to pick one up while wating in line... .

4. I prefer my magazines (in print or online) in print. I like to keep them, and rip pages out for inspiration .

5. The number of magazines I buy each month is I have cut back after a lecture face from the husband(he doesn't lecture, he makes this face...anyway), so now I maybe buy one or 2 a month. Since Barnes is in the mall, I sometimes stop in on a break and check out a mag over a coffee or tea .

6. My favorite magazine genre is (lifestyle, gossip, home, etc...) fashion and DIY home decor. Recently I've been buying anything that says 'get organized' on it lol .

7. The magazines I read regularly are Nylon, Bust, Real Simple, Better Homes and Gardens Do it Yourself, the Nest, and Natural Health...although I will buy a magazine if Zooey or an Olsen twin is on the cover .

Happy Chinese New Year!

If you are not wearing red today, shame on you!

I'm hoping to eat some yummy Chinese food in my red outfit and maybe go to Savers(that's our local thrift store of crazy). That's my big plan for the evening. Clint and I usually celebrate the Chinese New Year instead of Valentines Day! I think I will also have a Fruits Basket marathon tonight too!

Get In My Suitcase!

I'm trying to pack for my trip to Dallas. It's hard work, packing. I'll be gone a week and can only take a carry on, and must look biz casual chic. If only Anthropologie would just pack for me, then the day would be saved! I also think my husband would love for me to shop at Anthro because then I'd be dressing my age...he just doesn't get the whole arm and a leg thing....or is he hiding a money tree somewhere?

Any packing tips or outfit ideas? I'd appreciate any help or suggestions....

End of the World

It's cold and snowy, and I plan to just stay home with my tea and netflix. My husband is using his man logic today: call in to work, but still want to head out to his show tonight (where there will be no people to hear the music anyway...but hey man logic rules).
This is me and T yesterday not sledding, since there was not enough snow...but there was enough cold so we just went home....oh hi snowocalypse

Taco Tuesday: Snow Day!

The hardest thing in this world....is to drive in it, especially when it's snowing in Texas.

This should be in my house...
Very lovely. My brain is full of random stuff too.

I could use a couple of these with some cocoa.

Prettttyyyy...

I think everyone got a snow day today. I didn't do anything but eat some hashbrowns and watch anime. If my husband were here (he went to work), he could start a fire in our fireplace (I'm scared I'll blow my house up). I tried to watch Oprah today, but couldn't figure out the TV channels and gave up. Apparently she and her staff went vegan for a week. I know that all sounds crazy, but it's true.
