Fill In The Blank Friday

1. My biggest accomplishment in life thus far is graduating from college. I was pretty sure I would just be in school forever .

2. My favorite place to sit in my house is on the floor...depends on what I'm doing. I want to get one of those Japanese style tables that are low to the ground and have the blanket and little heater thing... .

3. My fashion philosophy is to not have a fashion philosophy or look homeless. lol I don't like to look like everyone else, and I'm not afraid to try different looks. I prefer 'ugly' clothes, mostly b/c I don't think anyone else will buy/wear them or because it probably has a cat on it .

4. Something every girl should have is red lipstick, it makes you feel fancy .

5. If you looked in my purse right now you'd find.... too much, even though I downsized. wallet, hello kitty band-aids, receipts, hello kitty kleenex, hello kitty fork, sugar in the raw packets, bubble mint gum, bobby pins, clippies, peppermint oil, rose salve, burts bees lotion, red lipstick, chanel chance perfume, excedrin migraine, loose change, dry shampoo, benefit face powder, ricola throat lozenges, keys, cell phone, tamagotchi, aerie spring surprise coupon, shopping list... .

6. My favorite music right now is Eisley and Mumford and Sons .

7. My favorite part of my body is my my painted toe nails...lol well I just got a pedicure, so they're cute .

Taco Tuesday: Hair, SXSW, Eisley & More

Today was get your hair done day at the Miller House. Clint dyed the tips of my hair blue. Thanks for the inspiration Ramona....I also got some rad feathers put in my hair. I hope to take a picture soon....

Clint cut off about 6 or more inches! His hair was longer than mine!

I've decided to go to SXSW even though I swore I wasn't going. Clint's band Thrift Store Cowboys will be playing 4 awesome shows in some rad places:

Now I've got to plan my outfits and keep in eye on the weather. Plus there's the whole which bands do I want to see???? I may not have too much time, but I hope this year will be better than last year. You can look back at my review here.

Hopefully my friend Brooke will want to come and hang out...hint hint...I'm hoping to ride with the band and sleep on the floor wherever we may be...no point in getting a hotel when you hardly get to sleep. Which reminds me I need to buy a new sleeping bag, unless the person who borrowed it has it appear magically?!

In other music news, Eisley's new album just came out on the 1st, so I bought it on itunes today! I lovelove Eisley! I've been wanting a shirt since Brooke introduced me to them about 3 or 4 years ago. I finally found one on their website! I can't wait for it to get here!

Clint decently downloaded the new Devotchka record so check that out!

Now I'm off to put away laundry, clean out my closets, and listen the Eisley....

Fade Into You

My momma came to visit this weekend.

She put some highlights in my hair. It was the first time she's ever done anything like that and it turned out really well. Now she knows why stylists charge so much...it's time consuming!

Today was a great day.

The husband and I had a date night, and went to see the adjustment bureau.

Tomorrow I plan to put away laundry and clean out some closets.

I also need to look for curtains...I wonder if Urban Outfitters has what I'm looking for....

A Pint of Strawberry Ice Cream

I've recently been going to sleep to Pokemon 4ever. I haven't actually watched the movie so I don't know what happens...so don't ruin it for me.

Last night we watched the movie The Road. Don't do it, it's depressing.

The husband and I went and saw Gnomeo & Juliet, and it was super cute! Go see it!

I tried working out, that lasted a day. I'm just not super motivated.

My sister gave me some Nike's to work out in and I had to take them off half way through b/c they were super heavy. I put on my Tigers and felt much better. I want to try this hula hoop thing I've been seeing on the internet. Anyone else know about it or tried it yet?

I checked my mail yesterday and it was full of Rolling Stone magazines. Which is weird b/c I don't have a subscription. Some dude named Dwane McKinney, who obviously doesn't know his own address, is sorely missing his new Justin Beiber issue.

I ate a million Oreos and a pint of strawberry ice cream today....not kidding. I feel much better now.

Emo-ing Out

February has come and gone.

I'm pretty sure I was a zombie during that month.

Sometimes things don't go the way you planned.

Reminding you that having expectations sometimes set you up for major disappointment.

Sometimes life is suffocating.

Sometimes you just miss the little things, like getting to wear your favorite ripped jeans.

I realized that worrying and stressing over things I can't control won't change anything.

I got tired of not being able to express myself. Being so stifled was wearing me out.

I realized I have more respect for myself and others than most of the people I recently encountered.

I realized that corporate america is a bitch, and they don't care as long as they make money.

So I got frustrated and angry, then decided to move on.

Even through the uncertainty of what comes next, I know I will be happier knowing I did what was best for me.

I drowned my sorrows in Oreos. Tomorrow is a new day, and I plan to enjoy it!

So I plan to do the usual life is in chaos routine: get a coffee, grab a cupcake, dye my hair, buy something cute, watch some anime, get a pedicure, hang with friends, listen to my angry music, clean out my closet, and get on with a life that is fulfilling for me and not the rest of the world.

1. The phrase or punctuation I overuse most is ..... hot mess, that's pretty much how I describe most things.

2. Today I am thankful fora day off. I feel like I haven't blogged in a month! .

3. My best friend is my husband of course! Then there's Cap'n T, she's the greatest .

4. A quirky thing about me is that I write upside down, people just can't get over it. I usually have a fork, raw sugar packets and pocky in my bag .

5. This weekend I am going to get caught up on laundry and quit my job.

6. Something that worries me is my puppies running away. I love them so much! I let them know how much I love them, in hopes that if the fence ever lets them escape they'll want to come home .

7. On my night stand you would find lots of empty water bottles, burt's bees chapstick, hair ties and clippies, a humidifier .
