Around the Miller Mansion

Today I've been doing some spring cleaning and redecorating. I've really enjoyed getting some stuff done today, but I still have lots to do before we have guests! 

So enjoy a peek around The Miller Mansion (ps it's not really a mansion, but a lil house built in the '80s, located in suburban hell)

Guest bathroom has been Hello Kitty-i-fied! It's a dream come true!

I still have some sparkles to add and a new toilet seat!

The Queen is helping my strawberry plant grow...I seriously need to repot her...

I dusted the old organ today....

I watered Earl and she looks lovely...(all my plants seem to be girls this year...)

This was stacked high and crazy with different teas and what not. My husband was impressed when he came home from work! I recycled my herb garden box from last year. I may or may not paint it soon...but yay organized!

I'm off today and I feel like doing lots of things. But all of those things would require me to get dressed, get out of this recliner, and get off tumblr and pinterest. 

They should make a tea that motivates you when you drink it. I would drink so much, and get so much done! Or just hire a personal assistant and maid. 

I need to pot my strawberry plant (no name yet) and water my cactus (it's named Earl, but is a female). 

Who want to go thrifting with me? Let's just go in our pj's.....

A Day In Between

Today is my day off, and only day in between jobs. Here are a few things I've been loving this week:

1. Josh Ritter-The Curse. My husband and I can't stop listening to this record.

My husband is super excited because the materials he ordered to make his own beer should be here today. He's cute, but he keeps telling me the house is going to smell like booze. I'll try to take pictures of the process.

That's What She Said Sunday

Haha this is totally me, minus the chocolate shake (i prefer strawberry). Today was a long work day with no break, but I did find $5 on the ground and my co-worker turned that $5 into 5 cupcakes from Barnes somehow haha. Because cupcakes are a great meal option for lunch.....

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.   Something popular that I can't stand/just don't "get" is      Lady Gaga .

2.   Something unpopular that I secretly love is    Savage Garden     .

3.  When I've had a bad day I   head straight to Starbucks to get a latte and a cupcake. Next up is retail therapy!   .

4. I'd prefer    strawberry    to    chocolate      any day.

5.  Something that makes me nervous is     needles, driving, and big dogs .

6.  Something worth fighting for is     cupcakes or tacos. I threaten people's lives daily when these 2 things are involved. Or when someone eats all my teddy grahams. (yes my life revolves around food)   .

7.  When people think of me, I hope they don't think    "she looks just like Kirsten Dunst, Olsen twin, Mandy Moore (take your pick, it's annoying)."  .

Sick Day

Yesterday I went home early from work. I was feeling like a zombie with my sore throat and thought that my head might explode any minute. Of course today I feel worse, but I have today off...so yay. Yesterday Clint and I went and got cookie dough, but he put his foot down on the marshmallow cream. We watched some Warehouse 13, I think were almost done with season 1.

I love these gummi strawberries, I by them at the Candy Wrapper in the mall all the time.
I thought this was awesome! I love playing Cooking Mama. I'm not into the wh0le Lady Gaga thing, but I thought this was pretty rad.

It feels like time flies by so quickly! I've only just finished my first cup of tea today, and it's getting close to lunch time! There never seems to be time to get everything done, but I'm trying.

I have 3 planners, and my momma got me a cute calender for christmas that I should hang up. So I am going in as prepared as possible! One of the things on my list of things to do is organize my house! I realize this is a huge project! So I decided to use my friend T's advice and make a schedule of days to clean certain things! Clint said he would help me, and I think he's just excited I'm going to try harder to get my closet and crafty junk under control. Right now I've sorta spilled out of the studio and into the living spaces! haha! And with the wedding coming up, there will be people staying in our house, so we wanted to make sure it was cute and clean for guests!

I like this organized crafty space! When mine is cute and organized I'll take pics and share with everyone! What I need is my momma to come and help me! haha

I am not sure who's illustration this is, I found it on my computer, but I love it! It really gets me in the mood to see the new Alice in Wonderland movie!

I also don't know where this is from, but it makes me happy! :)

I need to print this out and tape it in front of my glasses lol...somedays it's hard, especially when you are surrounded by negative people. But normally, being super nice to those people makes them go away. So have a lovely day!

HaHa too true. If you know me, you know Buffy is one of my fav shows! I own the whole series on DVD, and I quote it all the time...plus they speak my language...

I want to take a vacation soooo badly, and just get the heck out of dodge for a while. My life is so crazy with just working nonstop, that somedays I am zombie girl...

But a trip to the beach or even a weekend camping trip would be nice. Clint and I have this running joke of going to Carlsbad Caverns haha....

Is this not the cutest thing in the world? My sister has 2 pugs and they are funny, but they'd be even funnier dressed up!

This is how I feel today, but I have to go to work this afternoon...blah...

This is my dream house, I plan to move in soon....

Since this whole stomach ulcer thing, I can't drink coffee b/c it's painful. But I have been drinking tea. I need to paint myself a set of tea cups...these are adorable!

I've got a million things to do, but I'm sure I'll only get a handful done. I am working on my next homework assignment where I have to plan an actual lesson. I am trying to decide which artist I want to use for it. I want to finish knitting this hat I've been working on. I need to make my organize the casa schedule, and maybe put away some laundry...oh and get ready for work and deal with Mr. Queen Spaz why didn't you answer your phone on your day off....haha...Have A Lovely Day!
