Baby Reveal Party

This Saturday, we had a small gathering of family over to reveal the gender of our baby. I know it's usually the parents that have to wait to find out, but I just had to know. It was super fun, and it was really the first time we had lots of family over at the same time. 

I didn't go too crazy with the decorations. Our local party store had lots of cute things for only 50 cents!

I haven't baked a cake cake in a long time, I'm usually the cupcake master. So it was interesting to get the frosting on and keep it on. (Cream cheese frosting melts quickly, even at room temperature).

We had Granny Lou cut the cake! Everyone could hardly stand the wait! :)

Bag Lady: Diaper Bag Style

My sister told me the day of the purse is over when you have kiddos, and enter the age of the diaper bag. Since I am a bag lady, and have a huge collection of purses, totes, clutches....well you get the point, this diaper bag thing has had me pretty worried.  I've been researching and looking at different ideas, because I want my 'diaper bag' to be functional and cute (and not plastic). I've scoured the globe Pinterest and Etsy and found a few cuties....

Both of these bags are from the etsy store Krust.

On my quest for the elusive perfect diaper bag, I've noticed they're a bit pricey...so I'm looking into alternatives. Any ideas or suggestions?

Interpretations and Life

Sometimes visuals are needed to interpret my mood...

Today I feel like hiding at home with my puppies...or shooting people in the face with a water gun when they say stupid stuff...you know like when cats are bad...but maybe shoot something sticky haha

A Day In Between

Today is my day off, and only day in between jobs. Here are a few things I've been loving this week:

My husband is super excited because the materials he ordered to make his own beer should be here today. He's cute, but he keeps telling me the house is going to smell like booze. I'll try to take pictures of the process.

A Vain Attempt

Today this week, has been a really long week, and my awesome friend T decided to cheer me up with lots of cupcake goodness!

I found this lovely vintage coat at Savers for $8. This lady in line behind me kept trying to talk me out of buying it because she wanted it. She was kinda weird, and wanted to see everything I was buying.....

I've actually dyed my hair a few times the last few weeks. I went from blue, to bluer. Then I added some pink, which turned purple. Last night I tried to go back blonde, but it just turned into this....

I've got mermaid hair again, but I don't mind.

It is never too early to think about Halloween. I'm not sure what I am going to be this year. I'm thinking Jem or Belle from beauty and the beast. I want to eat these candy corns and other fall foods. Fall is my fav time of year!
